Group and Social Rides | ONGOING
We love social rides and host a regular Thursday night ride, as well as a monthly Ladies ride and Groms days. Check out the facebook calendar for more info on events. Note: There are two Garigal Gorillas pages:
1) The main Facebook Page (Garigal Gorillas) which is officially posted information such as larger GG organised events and news.
2) A chat page (Garigal Gorillas MTB Chat Page) where everyone can post and discuss anything MTB. People also post up social rides and ask for riding buddies. If you're looking for a riding buddy, you can post on the facebook chat page and we're sure you can find a riding crew.
IMPORTANT GROUP and SOCIAL RIDE INFORMATION, PLEASE READ.
MOUNTAIN BIKING CAN BE A DANGEROUS ACTIVITY AND ALL RIDERS MUST BE AWARE OF THE RISK OF INJURY ASSOCIATED WITH MOUNTAIN BIKING.
Admin, Garigal Gorillas Club and Event Hosts are not responsible for a Rider's safety on any ride.
It is the rider's own responsibility to decide if they are capable of any rides they join.
Rides are often on technical trails which are not formally managed or maintained.
Rider's are welcome to dismount and walk any parts of a ride they are uncertain of. We recommend looking at all features before attempting to ride them, and riding within your limits at all times.
Bikes must be in a safe working condition and helmets should always be worn on rides.
It is the rider's own choice to decide how much protection should be worn on rides.
Spare tubes, bike pump and basic tools should be carried on all rides.
Sufficient water and food should be taken on all rides.
A First Aid kit should be taken on rides.
The Garigal Gorillas Club and ride hosts will not be liable in any way, or in any circumstances for any damage, injury or loss to you or to your party that may occur during, in connection with, or as a result of mountain biking. Mountain biking is a high risk sport and users participate in the sport entirely at their own risk and must ride within their own capabilities.
