Ride with Aboriginal Peoples - The Garigal Water to Water

Ride with Aboriginal Peoples - The Garigal Water to Water

Join us for a ride through Garigal land to show respect for Aboriginal people.

Ride 32km through the Garigal picking our way through some of the old favourites.

This is a self supported, unmarked ride. Bring water, snacks and supplies. There is a cafe and facilities at Church Point. As always, ride within your limits.

There are limited spaces for a shuttle from Church Point back to Narrabeen or pedal back along Pittwater Rd.

  • 6:30 - 6:45am - Meet at Narrabeen Lagoon boat Ramp
  • 6:45am - Rider briefing / group photo
  • 7:00am - Prompt Start
  • 10.30am - Welcome by friends at Church Point.

Meet local Aboriginal Garigal man, Neil Evers and Clair Jackson, a Ugarapul-Gidabal woman and hear stories about the Aboriginal people who once lived in the area.

We will listen to the didgeridoo echo across Pittwater and play the clap sticks. Listen and learn to dance and sing along to the Aboriginal language.
