There’s a new way to join the Garigal Gorillas, with AusCycling introducing a simpler membership structure designed around how people actually ride and get involved.
Whether you ride socially, race locally, compete at a higher level, volunteer on the trails or simply want to support the club, there’s now a clearer option for you.
At GG, membership has always been about more than just riding. It helps us advocate for better trails, support trail maintenance, run events, build our local MTB community and represent riders across the Northern Beaches.
And for those who ride, your AusCycling membership also gives you the added benefit of insurance protection when you’re on the bike.
Choose the membership that suits you
AusCycling now has four main membership options that cover the different ways people participate in cycling.
Ride
For social and recreational riders.
Ride membership is ideal if you want to join Garigal Gorillas social rides, Fiver rides and other non-competitive activities.

Club
Want to race locally?

Race
For riders competing at state, national or UCI level.

Supporter
You don’t have to ride to be a Gorilla.
Supporter membership is for the volunteers, trail builders, committee members, coaches, officials, parents and supporters who help make our club and our local riding community possible.
It gives people who contribute off the bike a way to formally be part of the club and, where applicable, provides AusCycling insurance while undertaking official off-bike roles at sanctioned activities.
