About the Garigal Gorillas Mountain Bike Club

The Garigal Gorillas Mountain Bike Club was formed in 2017 to support the growing mountain bike community around the Northern Beaches of Sydney. Our mission is to develop and maintain sustainable mountain biking trails, while bringing together the local riding community.

Partnerships and Collaborations

We have established strong relationships with the local council, national parks, landowners, and other stakeholders. By working closely with these groups, we ensure the long-term future of mountain biking in the area. We recognise the traditional owners of the land, the Garigal people, and have the utmost respect for their cultural sites.

Our Commitment to the Community

As a club, we are committed to protecting and conserving the existing bushland. We are a gravity-oriented mountain bike club, and we will support the development and growth of our trail network to meet the desires of our members.

Club Activities and Events

We aim to become the official maintainers of the trails on the Northern Beaches, and we are working to get the existing Garigal trail network formalised. We are a family-friendly club that supports the local community and businesses.Throughout the year, we organise a variety of events, including:
  • Club race series
  • Weekends away
  • Mt Narra Fest
  • Midweek 5'er rides
  • Social rides
  • Club social events
  • Trail maintenance days and nights
  • Youth development sessions
We are constantly expanding our club events calendar to provide more opportunities for our members to connect, ride, and grow the sport of mountain biking in the Northern Beaches.
